Rostov State University of Economics Is Now a Participant of a New International Erasmus+ Project - UXiship
The implementation of a new Erasmus+ Capacity Building in higher education joint program project has started at Rostov State University of Economics. The rector of the university, Elena Makarenko, has signed the partnership agreement with the project coordinator - Hochschule Wismar University of Applied Sciences Technology, Business and Design (Wismar, Germany). The project "Accelerating ICT students' startup development competence via interdisciplinary modular courses in the HEI curricula (UXiship)" is designed to take 3 years and involves 9 universities from Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Latvia, and Estonia. The universities consortium applied with the project in February 2019 and after several stages of evaluation and selection by European and national experts, the project was approved for implementation. It's worth noting that 833 applications had been submitted to that call by the candidates from all over the world, including 82 applications involving Russian universities only 8 of which, RSUE's among them, were selected. At the beginning of December UXiship consortium members' representatives gathered at Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University for a kick-off meeting to discuss organizational architecture, communication, and a roadmap for the first year of the project. RSUE is assigned to be one of the five work package leaders and is responsible for the project outcomes sustainability. Last year RSUE had completed its work on another major Erasmus+ project concerning green logistics. The consortium work on that project and its outcomes were independently assessed and earned a high mark from international experts.
