AlmaU is an entrepreneurial and socially responsible university with main campus in
Almaty city, Kazakhstan. It is aspired to become “the Green“ university and build digitalization
community. Other locations include Nur-Sultan (Astana), Atyrau, KyzylOrda, Shymkent,
Oskemen and Aktobe. It is top 3 best business school in Central and South Asia, according to
the Eduniversal International Ranking Agency, France. AlmaU was established in 1988 and is the
first business university in Kazakhstan. AlmaU primary focus is business and entrepreneurship.
It has built strong capacity over the last 15 years in developing and educating compassionate
and responsible leaders. AlmaU is a national coordinator for the Kazakhstan Association of
Entrepreneurial Universities and "Ecosystem of Student Entrepreneurship" project funded by
the Eurasian Resource Group. The ERG project develops entrepreneurship skills of students and
faculty of eight regional universities in Kazakhstan. AlmaU is also a Creative Spark project
coordinator funded by the British Council.
