Erasmus+ Project UXiship restarted
Erasmus+ Project UXiship starts with full strength
The Erasmus+ project in the program area "Capacity Building for Higher
Education" entitled "UXIship - Accelerating the Foundation Development
Skills of ICT Students through Interdisciplinary Modular Courses in Higher
Education Curricula" re-launched in early March 2021
Due to the outbreak of the pandemic in early 2020 and the ongoing
lockdown by COVID-19 worldwide, the project partners were not able to
continue the international project launched in November 2019 after the only
physical kick-off conference so far in early December 2019 in St. Petersburg
(Russia). For this reason, the UXiship project has also been extended for one
year and is thus scheduled to end on November 14, 2023, following approval
by the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture from
Brussels (the executing agency of the Erasmus+ program).
For this reason, the project partners have met online on March 12, 2021 to
find the way to resume the project implementation and to define concrete
roadmaps. In the coming weeks, the EU partner universities (Tallinn
University of Technology, EKA Riga University of Applied Sciences, and
Wismar University of Applied Sciences) will conduct online trainings on
design thinking, interdisciplinary innovation development, cross-sectoral
collaboration, business creation, and more. conducted at partner universities
in Kazakhstan (Kostanay Baytursynov State University, Almaty Management
University and Caspian State University) and Russia (Kazan National
Technical Research University, Rostov State Economic University, St.
Petersburg State Polytechnic University).
