Webinars on developing entrepreneurial competences among students in the frame of the regional project “Popularizing Entrepreneurship”.
Rostov State University of Economics has become one of the co- organizers and one of the academic venues of the regional project “Popularizing Entrepreneurship” (PE). The PE project is aimed at the development of entrepreneurial skills among youth and students launching and holding business. The course of educational webinars is aimed at extending and deepening professional experience in the sphere of business strategies, taxation, marketing, interaction with investors and many other aspects.
In November 2020, RSUE became a regional platform for holding a series of webinars organized by Business Environment LLC in programs “Business start for self-employed”, “Anticrisis Program” and “How to defend business from family risks”, and a family from business risks”.
RSUE’s students followed the program. A separate target audience among webinar followers were students majoring in ICT-related programs, forming the target group of the UXiship project. Webinars allowed assessing the interest and readiness of students majoring in ICT-related programs to acquire competences in the sphere of entrepreneurship and launch own business projects. The results showed that most students following ICT-related programs are having an interest in acquiring knowledge in the field of business organization and running, even if they do not plan to have their own business. They consider knowledge in the sphere of entrepreneurship and business useful for their future career.
