UxiShip teacher training for Russian universities started by TalTech

On March 30, 2021, the first training event within UxiShip WP 1.9 for teachers involved in IT

master’s programs was held. The lecture on Business Model Development was presented by

Dr. Sirje Ustav (Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia) online for over 20 participants from

project universities. Originally selected by and designed for the teachers from Russian

universities consortium (Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Rostov State

University of Economics and Kazan National Research Technical University) the activity also

attracted the faculty of A.Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University and Almaty Management

University (Kazakhstan). Dr. Sirje Ustav delivered the knowledge on business models

development packed with her experience of teaching the subject and dealing with students’

demands in TalTech and answered her Russian colleagues’ questions. This lecture became the

first in the series of presenting European universities best practice in teaching to Russian

universities, as the start of activities had been postponed several times due the COVID-19

pandemic until the UxiShip steering committee made a decision to transfer the activity online in

order to sustain efficient work on the project.
